Lebanese minister highlights relations with Syria

Lebanese Minister of Information Eli Ferzli stressed the strong and solid Syrian-Lebanese relations in all domains, expressing support to turn those relations into an example to be followed by other Arab states.

In an interview published by Kuwaiti newspaper "al-Siyasa" Wednesday, Ferzli asserted the importance of closing ranks and unifying the word in the interest of both states within the accelerating developments in the region, pointing out that the UN Security Council resolution No. 1559 is a clear intervention in Lebanon's internal affairs and its bilateral relations with Syria. He expressed hope that the American new direction will concentrate on solving the Arab-Israeli conflict to establish a just and comprehensive peace in the region.
