Lahoud confers with American Delegation

Lebanese President Emile Lahoud said on Wednesday that the just and comprehensive peace in the Middle East ensures stability and security, adding events had proven that force couldn't be the resolution.

During a meeting with a delegation of the Arab-US Club of the Republican Party, President Lahoud reiterated his country's condemnation of terrorism and extremism.

He briefed the delegation on Lebanon's stance vis-a-vis the latest developments in the region, stressing that the US policy should be based on achieving peace according to the international legitimacy resolutions.

Member of the visiting delegation Nazer Hussein, for his part, said the Americans of an Arab origin back stances of President Lahoud, stressing the importance of communication between expatriates and their motherlands.
