Hicham Temsamani Jad Case Hearing postponed to October 22
The criminal division of the appellate court of Rabat decided Friday to postpone the hearing of the Hicham Temsamani Jad case to October 22nd at the request of the public prosecutor that asked for more time to "add new procedures" to the defendant file.
The court started earlier the same day examining the Jad case extradited to Morocco last march 12 by Spanish authorities after he was allegedly involved in the Casablanca attacks of 16 May 2003.
Jad is indicted on the counts of "forming an association of criminals, partaking in assaults and participation in premeditated homicides." He was arrested on June 19 in Vitoria, Spanish Basque region, at the request of Morocco that issued an international warrant on June 11.
