Syria-Italian higher education cooperation

Syria's Minister of Higher Education Hani Murtada on Wednesday discussed with the Minister of Scientific Research and Innovation in the Italian Province of Campagna Prof. Luigi Nichlais the possibility of setting up a center of research and studies for the engineering sciences in Damascus.

The center envisages doing Higher Academic Studies with the participation of scientific circles in neighboring countries, the Scientific Research Ministry in Campagna and the ASCWA Organization.

The Italian Professor briefed Murtada on the application of the 'E-Government' where paper work has been totally eliminated and substituted by electronic means to facilitate the transfer and movement of transactions and dealings among different circles.

The two ministers agreed on the necessity of activating and promoting cooperation between the two Ministries and exchanging visits of scientific cadres for the best benefit of both sides.
