al-Rai: Jordan denies providing American forces with ammunition

Jordan denied yesterday that it has supplied the American forces in Jordan with ammunition, noting that the US is not in need of any military aid.

The Jordanian foreign minister Marwan Muasher told the Jordanian daily " al-Rai" in reply to the threats issued from an Islamic organization on the Internet, demanding the Jordanian government to stop trucks loaded with weapons to Iraq that " The USA is not in need of any country to help it."

He added " the one who wants to end the occupation has to do that by providing every possible support to the Iraqi people and government." Muasher added the government " takes security measures to preserve the security of Jordan and the Jordanians."
