14 were killed in Gaza, 95 wounded; Bush: the world is grateful for Sharon
The last 24 hours witnessed a new chapter of Israeli systematic destruction against Gaza in preparation for the separation plan which was announced by the Israeli prime minister Ariel Sharon.
For the second running day the Israeli army continued its incursion in Beit Lahia area to the north of Gaza leaving behind destruction and nine killed and 70 wounded Palestinians and this increased the number of killed Palestinians to 14 during just 24 hours.
Meanwhile, the US President George W. Bush announced that the world is grateful for Sharon over his separation plan with the Palestinians. He criticized the Palestinian leadership because it " failed the people year after another," by not preventing "terrorism" against Israel.
In a press conference held in Washington, Bush rejected the criticism addressed to Sharon. He said Ariel Sharon came to America and stood by his side and said: "we will withdraw from Gaza and from parts in the west bank." He added that it would have been better to say " Thank you Ariel, now we have the chance to start building a peaceful Palestinian state."
