Originally published

Moroccan airline "Royal Air Maroc" and the economic and monetary community of Central Africa (EMCCA) signed in Rabat on Thursday a partnership convention

The agreement was signed at the end of a meeting between Moroccan prime minister, Driss Jettou, and a ministerial delegation from the EMCCA, a sub-regional organization grouping Cameroon, Central African Republic, Congo, Gabon, Equatorial Guinea and Chad.

Jettou voiced Morocco's readiness to support EMCCA's project and put its expertise at the disposal of African countries.

Gabon's transport and civil aviation minister, Paulette Missambo, who underlined the necessity of creating a single air company for the 6 EMCCA member countries, praised RAM as a quality partner.

The Moroccan carrier is already present in Africa, mainly in Senegal where it holds 51 percent of the capital of the Senegalese airline "Air Senegal International."
