Iraqi court releases al-Jazeera photographer
The investigation court of the Iraqi criminal central court sentenced the release of al-Jazeera photographer in Baqouba, Salah Hassan, because evidence against him was insufficient.
The lawyer of al-Jazeera TV office in Baghdad, Haidar al-Mulla, said that the release decision of photographer Salah came after an intervention in front of a special court formed by the occupation authority, according to decision 13 issued by the American administrator in Iraq Paul Bremer, noting that documents of this case was submitted to the court after investigation with the photographer.
Worthy mentioning that photographer Salah was arrested by the American forces in the city of Baqouba, the province of Deyali, one and a half months ago, under accusations of having links to terrorist sides, and this was before his case was brought to the court.
