Arab league delegation in Iraq tomorrow
An Arab diplomatic source announced yesterday that a delegation representing the Arab League will head tomorrow toIraq, for the first time since the collapse of the Iraqi regime in April, in order to hold talks with various political forces and religious leaders.
The source said that the Arab League assistant secretary general Ahmad Bin Hali, in charge of the Iraqi file, will lead this delegation. The source added that the delegation will hold discussions with the chairman of the Governing Council in Iraq Abdul Aziz al-Hakim and other members in the council, various political forces, religious, and tribal leaders.
The delegation will also visit various parts of Iraq, especially sites where mass graves were found, as evidence of the former Iraqi regime repression, discovered after toppling Saddam Hussein.
