Kuwait welcomes Moussa's participation in the GCC summit
Kuwait's minister of information Muhammad Abu al-Hassan has stressed that differences with the secretary general of the Arab league Amr Mousa have been eliminated, and that his country welcomes Moussa's visit to take part in the Gulf GCC states summit.
Abu al-Hassan said, in conclusion of a meeting at the headquarters of the Arab League in Cairo, that misunderstanding always happens among friends, stressing that certain Kuwaiti parliamentarians who oppose this visit do not represent all the people of Kuwait.
It was decided that Mousa will take part on December 21 and 22 in the summit of the Gulf Cooperation Council. This is the first time in which Moussa visits Kuwait since his relations with this country witnessed tension in spring of this year.
In April this year, Moussa threatened to resign because of the accusations addressed to him by Kuwait of standing against Kuwait and with the regime of the Iraqi President Saddam Hussein.
