Morocco urged, in Geneva Wednesday, Algeria to "live up to its international commitment" by releasing immediately the remaining 614 Moroccan POWS held captive in the Tindouf camps (Southwest Algeria) by the separatist movement "Polisario."
Omar Hilale, Moroco's ambassador to the Geneva-based United Nations called for the "immediate, total and unconditional release" of the Moroccan prisoners at the 28th meeting of delegates of national societies of the Red Cross and the Red Crescent, and of the member countries signatories of the Geneva Convention.
