West Sudan rebels kill 186 government militias

The rebels of west Sudan, with the support of citizens of villages, attacked fighters of government backed militias, and raided certain residential aggregations in west Sudan, and killed 186 members of the fighters of this militia.

The coordinator general of the "justice and equality movement", Abu Baker Hamid al-Nour, said that the fighters of the movement responded on Wednesday to the appeal made by people of the villages in al-Masaleir area, in Darfour (west) after they were exposed to attacks that resulted in killing 20 persons among civilians.

The movement and the Sudan's Liberation Army, which is another group of rebels in Darfour, signed earlier this month to extend a ceasefire agreement with the government, but it accused what it described the pro-government militias of violating the agreement.
