Some 16 Lebanese returned back from Israel
Some 16 Lebanese returned back yesterday from Israel after they had entered it during the Israeli withdrawal from south Lebanon in May, 2000 and they arrived into Lebanon at al-Naqoura border point by a bus for the UN forces working in South Lebanon UNIFIL which transported them to al-Naqoura port.
They were handed over to the Lebanese security forces which arrested six of them to the military judiciary for trial over dealing with the enemy and freed women and children who returned back to their villages.
Worthy mentioning that almost 7,000 Lebanese including families had fled into inside Israel during the withdrawal of the Israeli forces from most of the lands it used to occupy in south Lebanon in May, 2000.
Some 4,000 of those Lebanese who were a militia supported by Israel have so far returned while other 500 left for European and African countries. There are still some 2400 Lebanese in Israel, with the great part of them thinking of returning back to Lebanon because of the drastic conditions they live in.
