Al-Assad and King Juan Carlos visits Palmyra

Syria's President Bashar al-Assad and First Lady Asmaa al-Assad along with Spain's King Juan Carlos and Queen Sofia and the Royal and official delegation accompanying the King and the Queen arrived in Palmyra yesterday and visited the Castle of Fakher Ed-Din al-Maani II and they saw the ancient area, Palmyra oasis from the summit of the castle.

They also listened to a wide explanation of the history of the ancient city, its commercial relations on the Silk Road with Spanish city of Qadis during the 14th century BC.
