Syria - Silk Road Festival

The Syrian Silk Road Festival will be celebrated Saturday under the auspices of Prime Minister Naji Otari in the northern city of Aleppo with the participation of several Arab and foreign countries.

The festival, organized by the Ministry of Tourism, is scheduled as part of a 4-day events to be held in Damascus, Palmyra and Aleppo to coincide with the World Day of Tourism.

The events include several exhibitions and culture activities due in archeological sites, including Italian and Syrian Silk products, an act that depicts the signing of a Trade Agreement between Aleppo and the Italian city of Venice in 1207.

The events also include French Plastic Arts exhibitions, national foods and different folklore arts evenings as well as camel endurance race.
