Intifada Support Committee meets in Damascus

The "Executive Bureau and the Media Committee of the Syrian Arab Popular Committee for Supporting the Palestinian Intifada and Resisting the Zionist Project" held its meeting in Damascus today under the Chairman of the Committee, Ahmad Abdulkarim.

During the meeting, the participants reviewed the latest developments in the occupied Palestinian territories in line with the continuation of the Israeli practices against the Palestinian people.

Concerning the Israeli decision to expel Palestinian Leader Yaser Arafat, the committee stressed that this decision shows the Israeli arrogance and violation of the Palestinians human rights, and spoke of "Israel's rejection of all the exerted efforts to realize just and comprehensive peace in the region in line with international resolutions."

The executive bureau decided to support the Palestinian people by offering financial aid of 252,700 dollars.
