Syrian- Malaysian to establish smart card deal

A memorandum of understanding between General Establishment of Telecommunication and Malaysian UCT Sunan Tele. Company was signed yesterday at the establishment's headquarter in Damascus.

The memo was signed by the General Manger of the establishment Imad al-Sabouni on the Syrian side, and the Chairman of the Board of UCT' s Safeiden Ja'far on the Malaysian side.

In a statement to SANA reporter, al-Sabouni stressed the importance of this memo in studying the economic benefit for establishing a factory for smart cards in Syria.
