Originally published

The Jordanian minister of energy and mineral resources Muhammad al-Bateynah, who is accompanying the Jordanian prime minister Ali Abul Ragheb in an official visit to Kuwait said that Jordan had agreed with Kuwait to be supplied with oil shares "at preferable price" following the suspension of oil supplies that used to arrive from Iraq.

Al-Bateynah added that the Kuwaiti oil share will be at "preferable prices and at balanced oil rates with our Arab brothers and for three months successive periods" used to be provided by Kuwait to Jordan since the beginning of the war on Iraq.

Since the suspension of the Iraqi oil supplies, Jordan is receiving oil directly from Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and the United Arab Emirates estimated at 80,000 barrels of oil per day at almost preferable prices similar to that the Kingdom used to get from Iraq.
