Kuwaiti parliament opens the file of trade cooperation with Jordan
Suddenly, the foreign relations committee at the Kuwaiti Nation's Council ( parliament) will today ( Saturday) open the file of a draft law issued 14 years ago calling for increasing trade, economic and technical cooperation between Kuwait and Jordan. This draft law was suspended by the Kuwaiti nation's council in 1992, because of the consequences of the second Gulf war ( the Iraqi invasion of Kuwait).
Kuwaiti parliamentary sources said that the chairman of the committee, parliamentarian Muhammad al-Saqer called on several parliament members to take part in the dialogue before releasing a decision on this draft law.
The sources added that the intention in the committee is to approve the draft law especially as its members agree ideas adopted by the Kuwaiti foreign ministry in maintaining greater openness towards the Arab states and eliminating the crisis of the 1990's.
