Al Bayane: Baker's plan to increase tension and instability in the region, Moroccan party
The Progress and Socialism Party (PPS) categorically rejected Baker's latest plan, deploring that it "increases tension and causes instability" in the region.
PPS said in a release published Monday by "Al Bayane" daily it is "stunned at the unfriendly decision adopted by the US representative in the Security Council vis-?-vis Morocco and the way he defended the fresh Baker plan showing thus a negative, lack of understanding, and unacceptable attitude toward the Moroccan people."
The party "once and again denounces the hostile position adopted by Spain from which we were expecting, as president of the Security Council, the adoption of an unbiased and honest stand and a positive work to reach a solution accepted by all parties," the release goes on.
On Algeria's position, PPS denounced "Algerian rulers' position that showed again their resolve to undermine the kingdom's territorial integrity and the inalienable rights of the Moroccan people, unheeding the Arab Maghreb Union (UMA- mustering Algeria, Libya, Mauritania, Morocco and Tunisia) and the interests of the peoples of the region."
However, the Moroccan people will continue to work for the establishment of brotherly (.) relations with the brotherly Algerian people," PPS underlined.
