Algeria's president, Abdul Aziz Butaflika, has voiced determination to work with King Mohammed VI for the reinforcement of cooperation and complementarity between the two neighboring countries.

This came in a message of congratulations President Butaflika sent to King Mohammed VI on the occasion of the Throne Day, marking this year the fourth anniversary of the king's enthronement.

Bouteflika thanked king Mohammed VI for the aid he extended to Algeria following the earthquake that hit the Algerian capital last May.

The Algerian president said he is firmly attached to re-launching the construction of the Maghreb union, underlining that it is a joint strategic choice "that remains our major concern and aspiration."

"I am convinced that God will help us build a future where our two countries would live in complete peace and stability, and achieve our two brotherly peoples aspirations for a bilateral complementarity in political and socio-economic realms and in cooperation to take up the challenges of globalization," he added.
