The only solution to the Sahara issue is through respect of Morocco's territorial integrity (ex-polisario cadre)
The Sahara conflict can only be resolved through respect of Morocco's sovereignty and territorial integrity, said Mohamed M'Hamed Yahdih, a former cadre of the Polisario (Algeria-backed secessionist group claiming independence of Moroccan southern provinces).
"from a historical viewpoint, the only fair and equitable solution for the Sahara issue is through respect of Morocco's sovereignty over its territories," said Yahdih, who returned to Morocco recently.
Yahdih, former director of education and member of the "national secretariat" of Polisario's Youth Union, said he returned to his homeland (Morocco) to fulfill his duty as patriot, insisting that, similarly to all Sahrawi Moroccans who care for peace and justice, he urges for the liberation of some 1,160 Moroccan POWs that have been detained for more than 20 years by Polisario in southwestern Algeria in defiance of international law.
Yahdidh returned recently with two other Polisario cadres to the kingdom in response to the royal call, "the homeland is clement and merciful," that promises exemption from sanctions and questioning to separatists who chose to return to their homeland.
