Washington wants free trade agreement with Bahrain

The White House announced that the US will start negotiations to convene an agreement for free trade exchange with Bahrain.

A statement to this end said that the US will start negotiations in order to reach an agreement for free trade exchange with Bahrain, noting that this agreement constitutes an important stage to reach the objective of establishing a free trade exchange area between the USA and the Middle East, announced by the US President George Bush on May 9th.

The statement stressed that this agreement will be also used for achieving a progress towards the common objectives for attaining peace and stability in the Middle East and will contribute to "developing trade relations with a country making reforms in the Arab world."
