Al-Hayat: New tape for Osama Bin Laden
The London- based al-Hayat daily reported yesterday that it has received a new voice recording for the leader of al-Qaida organization Osama Bin Laden, noting that the organization will start launching it on Islamic sites on the Internet as from yesterday ( Sunday).
The paper said that the new recording is a sermon recorded by Bin Laden and circulated on the member of the organization on the occasion of Eid al-Adha holiday.
The paper said that al-Qaida leader vows in the tape to continue fighting against the US and calls on the peoples of the Middle East region to boycott the American goods. He also mentions operations in which members of al-Qaida organizations took place against the Americans, starting as from fighting against the American forces in Somalia until the incidents of September 2001, and he commended Mombassa attack ( against an Israeli hotel where many Israelis were killed) operation, saying that it is his gift to the Palestinian people.
Al-Hayat indicated that Bin Laden talked about the US division of the Middle East region by the Americans, adding that the current preparation to attack Iraq is but a chain in the series of perpetuated aggressions against the countries of the region to include Iran, Syria, Egypt and Sudan.
The paper noted that al-Qaida leader warned that the "new Crusade operation" aims at preparing the atmospgere in the region following the partition for the foundation of what is called "Greater Israel," considering that what is taking place in Palestine is an example intended to be repeated in all the region at the hands of the Zionist- American alliance.
The paper also said that Bin Laden criticized in his statement the Arab leaders, noting that there are restrictions placed by the Arab governments against activities of Islamists.
Al-Hayat also said that Bin Laden talked a lot about the conditions in Afghanistan and noted an active action for al-Qaida there. He promised to talk later in details about confrontations between the organizations and the American forces in Toura Bora and Shahi Kout areas.
