Syrian- American dialogue sessions concluded

A Syrian-American dialogue was concluded in Damascus yesterday with the two sides' understanding that meetings were constructive and beneficial.

Viewpoints were exchanged and a clear understanding, regarding many important issues of the region, the Syrian-American and the Arabs-American relations, was reached.

The three-day meetings of Syrian and American intellectuals and businessmen dealt with dangerous situation in the occupied Palestinian territories, peace process, crisis in Iraq, UN Security Council resolutions, exerted efforts to avoid military solutions and the issue of terrorism.

Intensive discussions on the Syrian-American bilateral relations were held, during the three-day dialogue, with focus on economic and cultural relations.

The Syrian and American participants expressed affirmation over value and importance of such dialogue insisting on its continuity in the future to be fruitful and beneficial for both sides
