Arafat merges two Palestinian departments

Originally published

The chairman of the Palestinian Authority Yasser Arafat issued a decision for merging the State security department with the Palestinian attorney general.

The Israeli radio said that Arafat has appointed Khaled al-Qidra who used to occupy the post of the attorney general after he had occupied the post of the deputy attorney general of the state security court. This was, however, in the context of the reforms made by the Palestinian authority inside its various departments.
