Arab banks union administrative board due in 2003 in Casablanca
The Arab Banks Union (UBA) will convene its administrative board in Casablanca in 2003, says a communique of the Moroccan banks professional group (GPBM).
The decision to hold this event was taken during UBA's board meeting held in Khartoum on October 9th, where the Union's congress was being held.
The Khartoum meeting decided to convene, in the near future in a Maghreban country, a conference on new prudential rules, data exchange on investment opportunities in the Arab states and issues related to the connexion of Arab banks into a cash distributors' network.
Arab bankers also examined in Khartoum the banks' role in promoting investments in the region, economic and privatisation programs as well as loan institutions' mission.
