International telecoms exhibition opens in Casablanca

An international telecoms exhibition opened this Tuesday in Casablanca displaying latest innovations in information systems and networks.

This 2nd edition is viewed as a mega-event of telecoms as no less than 140 participants from 14 countries are present, including market leaders Wanadoo, France-Telecom, Motorola and Siemens.

Chinese telecom equipment operator "Huawei" has increased its participation with over 400 officials. Organizers are bidding on 25,000 professionals and 35,000 consumers to visit the fair.

In parallel to the fair, the International telecommunication Union is holding on April 4-5 a conference to bring together officials, services providers and equipment companies.
