Sharon confers with Rice

The Israeli prime minister Ariel Sharon on Tuesday evening in Washington met with US National Security Advisor Condoleezza Rice. The meeting was attended by the chairman of the Israeli Mossad Afraem Halevy, Sharon's office director and his military's secretary.

The Israeli radio said that the participants in the meeting discussed the situation in the Middle East and issues of mutual concern.
