In another development, the Province of Kasla to the east of Sudan has called on the UN and other organizations to lay the necessary arrangements for the return back of Eritrean refugees to their country after the end of their legal stay in Sudan and end of their asylum in Sudan by the end of September.
The governor of Kasla Lt. Gen. Adam Hamid Mousa said on Thursday in a statement to the Sudanese daily al-Rai al-Am that more than 90,000 Eritrean refugees are in Kasla and that the province is working with the government to return back those refugees voluntarily to their country.
Adam called on the international community to understand the situation of the refugees and to help in solving this problem because his province can not provide aid to them as the donating organizations stopped providing aid as from the end of September.
