Australian poll on striking Iraq

An official opinion poll whose results issued on Wednesday in Sydney revealed that 50% of Australians oppose their country's participation in any attack against Iraq. Australia voiced its support for an American military strike against Iraq.

The opinion poll which was held for the state- owned "SBS" TV indicated that 50% of those who took part in the opinion poll oppose Australia's participation in any American campaign against Iraq.
