King Mohammed holds phone talks with president Arafat
Morocco's King Mohammed VI held Monday phone talks with Palestinian president, Yasser Arafat, to inquire about the latest developments the Palestinian people is going through.
The king informed Arafat on the contents of talks he held the same day with U.S. secretary of state, Colin Powell, who was visiting Morocco part of a Middle Eastern tour.
The sovereign also informed the Palestinian president about the decision made by himself and by the royal family to postpone the public festivities-- which were scheduled to celebrate his wedding this April 12-14-- in view of the serious escalation taking place in the Palestinian territories.
On Sunday evening, the sovereign also held phone talks with Arafat and renewed Morocco's total and unconditional support to the Palestinian people and their combatant leadership in the tragedy they are enduring following Israeli invasion of the Palestinian territories.
