Moroccan people calls international community to ensure protection to Palestinian people

The march of solidarity with the Palestinian people held Sunday in Rabat ended up with the release of a communique calling the international community to secure protection to the Palestinian people.

The communique, dubbed "the Communique of the Moroccan People," renewed the Moroccan people's total and unconditional backing to the Palestinian intifadah and called for support to all forms of the Palestinians' resistance.

The document deems that the Intifada under all its forms against occupation is a right recognized by all divine religions, international conventions and peoples' historical rights.

The communique also denounced "the inaction of the United Nations to enforce sanctions against the Zionist entity, which violates all conventions and human rights principles," and called for "lifting the obstacles to Arab peoples' participation to the liberation struggle and to the struggle against the aggressions perpetrated against our land, our children, and our sacred shrines in Palestine."

The communique called for expelling Israel from the United Nations and stated that the paroxysm of terrorism is the one perpetrated by Israel and that Zionist leaders are criminals that must be tried for their crimes.

It urged Arab and Islamic governments, the international community and all peace-loving people in the world to shoulder their responsibility through the adoption of urgent, firm measures to stop Zionist slaughters, force Israel to withdraw from the Palestinian territories and lift the siege imposed on President Yasser Arafat and on the Palestinian people.

It likewise called Arab and Islamic countries to severe all relations with Tel Aviv and urged the peoples of the world, mainly European and American peoples, to pressure their governments take concrete measures to halt Israeli terrorism and enable the Palestinian people recover their rights, resist occupation and establish an independent state with al-Quds as its capital.

"While expressing their anger and utter rejection of the acts committed by the Zionist machine, with the support of the United States, against Palestine and the whole of humankind, the Moroccan people pay tribute to the Palestinian martyrs and hails the resistance and heroism of President Arafat and of the Palestinian people to threats, slaughter and genocide," the communiqu? said.
