Lebanon denies the Israeli claims
Lebanon has denied what was said by Israel that the gunmen who killed 6 Israelis in the north of Israel this week sneaked through Lebanese borders into Israel.
The Lebanese minister of defense in a statement on Friday said that the story fabricated by Israel and issued on Friday on that the persons who carried out this operation had crossed the fence on the border and used ladders for this purpose are groundless, and baseless, and also deceiving.
The Lebanese minister added that these claims fall in the course of pressures practices against Lebanon, noting that such claims will not undermine Lebanon's commitment to its principles and right to legitimately defending its territories and liberating parts of south Lebanon that are still under the Israeli occupation.
For his part, the Lebanese minister of information Ghazi al-Aridi denied the Israeli claims. He said in a press statement issued on Friday that the Israeli statements are mere lies and that the Israelis are trying to justify their discrepancy in challenging the Palestinian Intifada by pressuring Lebanon.
