The Lebanese National resistance has announced that the Israeli army has violated the Lebanese sovereignty between February 19th and 25th.

In a statement issued on Wednesday, the Lebanese resistance said that the Israeli planes violated the Lebanese airspace for nine times while the Israeli naval forces registered 25 violations for the Lebanese territorial waters.

The Lebanese resistance indicated in its statement that total number of Israeli violations of the Lebanese sovereignty since the pullout of the Israeli forces from the south and the Western Bekaa in May 2000 reached 3,851 violations.

On the other hand, one Lebanese citizen was killed and another one was wounded by a land mine implanted by the Israeli forces in south Lebanon.

Lebanese security sources said that an anti- vehicle mine went off on Wednesday in a small truck in Ein al-Meir area to the east of Sidon and it resulted in killing the driver of the truck and wounding of his companion, while the truck was destroyed.

The killed and the wounded men were admitted to one of Sidon's hospitals while soldiers of the Lebanese army engineering unit started searching for other landmines in the area.

Worthy mentioning that more than 15 persons were killed and other 100 wounded by Israeli land mines implanted by the Israeli soldiers before the pullout of the Israeli army from south Lebanon and its Western Bekaa in may, 2000.
