Swedish NGOs decry situation of Tindouf detainees
Two Swedish non-governmental organizations have voiced concern over the dismal situation of the Sahrawis forcibly detained in Tindouf (south-western Algeria).
The Swedish Human Rights Associations and the Foreningen Vastsharas Hesmida Organization (a pro-polisa NGO) also decried the skimming of humanitarian assistance destined to the Tindouf detainees.
The two NGOs made the statement at a meeting in Stockholm with Yahia Alamine, spokesman of the Association of the Survivors of the Polisatio Jails.
Foreningen Vastsharas Hesmida had sent an investigating committee to the Tindouf camps to enquire about the dire situation of the Sahrawis detained by the polisario separatists.
