Lebanese president sends invitation for Arab summit
A statement of the Lebanese presidency office published this Monday says Lebanese culture minister, Ghassane Salame, will be travelling to Morocco, Algeria and Mauritania to extend an invitation from Lebanese president, Emile Lahoud, to attend the Arab ordinary summit, slated for next March.
Eight Lebanese envoys will be touring the Arab world to extend Arab heads of state invitations to attend the summit.
Preparations for the summit were surveyed Monday at a meeting between Lebanese officials and secretary general of the Arab League, Amr Moussa, following Libya's request that the summit be held in Cairo.
