Moussa rejects threats to hit any Arab country
Arab League Secretary General Amr Moussa expressed on Monday his rejection of threats to launch military attacks against any Arab country, including Iraq.
In statements after his meeting with Lebanese Chamber of Deputies Speaker Nabih Berri, Moussa said he has no fear on the Israeli threats against Lebanon and Syria.
He expressed support of resistance in the face of occupation. As long as there is occupation, there will be resistance, Moussa said, calling for avoiding civilians.
We have to protect civilians and those who have nothing to do with war in armed conflicts. That's why we asked for applying Geneva Convention on protection of civilians in the armed conflicts and avoiding Palestinian civilians after all that they have passed through, he said.
Lebanese Foreign Minister Mahmoud Hamoud said the coming Arab summit will be a reflection of Arab cares and will discuss the developments of the Arab issues.
There is no retraction on the Arab principles approved by the previous summit, he said.
