Raja Casablanca poised to sign French gress coach

French coach Gilbert Gress is expected Saturday in Morocco to sign for Morocco's Premiere league club, Raja Casablanca, sources close to the club said.

Fress, who coaches French second league club of RC Strasbourg, is former manager of Swiss Neuchatel FC with whom he won the Swiss league title twice in 1981 and 1990.

Raja, winner of the Moroccan league over the past seven years, was courted by a number of renowned coaches, including Dutch Arie Hann and Spanish Javier Clemente.

Raja, currently ranking sixth in the Moroccan league, has been scoring negative results that led to the firing of local coach, Fathi Jamal.
