Al-Assad congratulates Lahoud on Lebanon's national day

Syrian President Bashar al- Assad on Wednesday sent a cable of congratulations to the Lebanese president Emil Lahoud on the occasion of Lebanon's national day.

In the name of the Syrian people and his own name, the President expressed most sincere congratulations and best wishes to the Lebanese president and people. He stressed Syria's care to strengthen fraternal ties between the two countries and to follow up joint work to liberate the Arab lands occupied by Israel.
