Al-Assad discuss with Lebanese figures Arab conditions, reflections on Syria, Lebanon

Syrian President Bashar al-Assad on Thursday at the Damascus al-Rawda palace received the secretary of the regional leadership of the Baath Party in Lebanon Asem Qansouh and the assistant regional secretary Muhammad Nuhad Ardomilli as well as members of the regional leadership Nazih Beidoun, Assad Sweid; Akram Younis, Ahmad Heidous, Ghassan Saleiba, Adnan Khaddaj, Ahmad al-Suleioti, Hikmat Samaan, Mustafa Shahoud, Qasem Ghader and Abdul Amir Abbas.

Discussions dealt with current conditions at the Arab and international arenas and its reflections on each of Syria and Lebanon as well as the brotherly relations between the two countries.

Earlier in the day, the President received at the Damascus al-Rawda palace the chairman of the Islamic charity society project in Lebanon Sheikh Husam Qaraeyra and the chairman of the scouts federation for the Arab parliamentarians Adnan Trabulsi.

Bilateral relations between Syria and Lebanon were reviewed during the meeting.
