Palestinian paper: Syria refused peace talks unless a solution on the Palestinian track attained
The al-Quds paper issued in the occupied Arab territories said, according to western diplomatic sources that Damascus has informed Washington its rejection to start peace negotiations with Israel before finding a solution on the Palestinian track.
In its Tuesday's issue, the paper added that Syrian officials conveyed their decision to the US administration through the former US under secretary of state Edward Walker during his recent visit to Damascus.
The paper said that Damascus had received an American proposal to resume peace negotiations for several Syrian political stances, adding that Damascus refused American proposal to declare halting its support to " terrorist" activity for a promise on an Israeli withdrawal from the Golan covering 10 meters to the east of the Tiberies lake.
