The real number of the victims of floods took place in Algeria on November 10 exceeded 2000 victims in the capital Algiers only.

The Algerian daily al- Shourouq quoted well-informed sources as saying that number is correct if it will be taken into account the tens cars and buses which were dumped while transporting hundreds of citizens who were heading for their works that day, besides persons who were at the bus stops and in their houses.

The sources explained that most of the victims are students who were in their way to universities and institutes.

However, the last statistics circulated by the Algerian ministry of the Interior on Sunday said that number of victims at the national level reached 729 persons, 170 missing, including 679 victims in Algiers and the others are from other Algerian provinces.
