Robertson: Bin Laden is not the only one responsible for September attacks

Originally published

The secretary general of NATO George Robertson said in statements broadcast on Sunday that it is not clear yet whether Bin laden will be the only responsible side for the attacks against the US on September 11th.

In an interview with the Qatari TV satellite station he commented that September 11 attacks were very complicated.

In the same interview but in a different angle Robertson stressed that the American military campaign against Afghanistan is not a war against Islam, adding that the NATO is ready to give more support to the American campaign against Afghanistan after approving the list of American requests, including the use of the airspace of the NATO member states and opening several ports and airports and help in the process of providing with fuels.

Replying to a question if NATO accepts the participation in any military act, Robertson said that the Americans are clear so far in their saying that they do not see any evidence on Iraq's involvement with Osama Bin Laden. A matter which makes this possibility ( of attacking Iraq ) away from the agenda of the current military campaign.
