Palestinians hope Blair to promise the foundation of the Palestinian state

The secretary general of the Palestinian Authority Ahmad Abdul Rahman has announced his hope that the British prime Minister Tony Blair will give a historical promise for the foundation of a Palestinian state during his visit scheduled to Gaza today on the eve of the of the Ballfore Declaration.

Abdul Rahman stressed that a declaration of this sort might correct the historical mistake committed by Britain in 1917 in Ballfore declaration which permitted the foundation of Israel on the territory of Palestine.

Abdul Rahman considered that a declaration of that sort by Blair to this end will ensure the right of the Palestinian to the establishment of a state, self- determination and independence.
