Half million Palestinian prisoners in the Israeli jails

The Palestinian prisoners and freed men affairs ministry has announced that the Israeli authorities detained more than 750 Palestinians since the eruption of the Palestinian Intifada on September 28, 2000, including 207 children under 16 year old.

In a special news bulletin on the conditions of the detainees in the Israeli jails the Palestinian ministry said that inhuman ways of torture were conducted against the jailed Palestinian children and were held together with other jailed Jewish criminals. A matter which violates article fourth of the law on seizing prisoners.

The Palestinian ministry indicated that since the beginning of the Palestinians national activity, Israel had put in its jails more than half a million of Palestinian and Arab peoples in an attempt to undermine the Palestinian will to the Israeli conditions.
