Some 20% of the Israeli settlers want to leave the West Bank and Gaza

Originally published

An opinion Poll issued on Wednesday in Jerusalem said that one settler out of five in the West Bank and Gaza thinks of returning back to live in Israel, because of the deteriorated security conditions.

Some 19% of the Israeli settlers who took part in the opinion poll think of leaving the country "on the condition that they can get a house to replace of the one they will leave."

Some 24% say they will not leave while 54% are confident they will not leave and 3% refrained from giving their views.

However, some 200,000 settlers are living in 150 settlements in the West Bank and Gaza, outside East Jerusalem annexed to Israel.
