Sharon presides over a security meeting for the Israeli cabinet

The Israeli prime minister Ariel Sharon on Tuesday presided over a meeting for the Israeli government members with the participation of leaders of the Israeli security departments.

The Hebrew- language Israeli radio said that the participants in the meeting discussed recent developments in the region following the contacts and meetings held on the ground of the "Tenet document" and the recommendations of Mitchell committee on fact- finding.

The Israeli radio added that the participants in the meeting stressed that they do not expect any changes in the standing conditions at the meantime.
