Originally published

The Arab-American Anti-Discrimination Committee (ADC) opened on Friday its 18th annual conference, with an agenda comprising American-Arab relations, US assistance to the Arab states and the new US administration foreign policy.

With such prestigious participants as US secretary of state, Colin Powell, Arab-born presidential candidate and leader of the green party, Ralf Nader, democrat congressman, David Bonior (Michigan) and democrat senator James Moran, (Virginia), the three-day conference will debate the Palestinian issue, the situation in Iraq, civic rights of Arab-Americans and means to defend the Arab-Islamic causes in the USA and other parts of the world.

The agenda also includes the renewal of the ADC administrative board and action plan against discrimination.

The annual conference, a political-cultural event, is also an opportunity to bring together the Arab-American community and promote their political role.
