The African unity dream getting closer, Bin Billa says
Former Algerian President Ahmad Bin Billa has expressed his conviction that the dream of "the unity of Africa" started to take its own way into actual implementation.
In the speech festival held on Wednesday in Tripoli on the occasion of the Africa Day and the 38th anniversary for the establishment of the Organization of African Unity , Bin Billa said that this age has witnessed two most ugly crimes in the history of humanity. They are the extermination of the Red Indies and the crime of " Slavery" in Africa which resulted in killing 42 million Africans.
Bin Billa called on the West to apologize for colonialism and its crimes in Africa which still suffers its consequences. He said:" we do not want compensations, rather apology." Bin Billa, who currently presides the Arab revolutionary- Democratic dialogue has described globalization and described it as the globalization of poverty rather than of morals. He explained that it is the globalization of the strong and rich north and the globalization of the poor and weak south which is indebted in $ 2500 billion in which there are 35 million hungry citizens.
